* Where can I file a divorce? - You can file your divorce in the county of your residence or your spouse's residence as long as they have lived there for more than 30 days.

* Can I get alimony? - Not every case ends with someone paying or receiving alimony.  Alimony is a case-by-case basis with particular factors the court must consider.

*  Should even use a lawyer? - Absolutely. Many people try to use a non-lawyer to draft documents and it ends up costing way more money to fix the errors than if a lawyer had done them to begin with.
